Fleet Racing
We need each participant to register below, every week, if you would like to join in the fun. You can either send a text message to the fleet captains or use the signup form below.
The Sailing Squadron’s American 18s are block-booked for Fleet racing.
Each boat will be skippered by an experienced sailor and boatshare member. Crew will be assigned to a skipper/boat based on experience level.
More experienced sailors are expected to pass on their skills to their fellow crew. We have found that this “pair and share” approach in a gently competitive environment is a great way to develop and improve sailing skills.

Sign up to participate in this week’s Fleet Racing
Summer 2026. We are shifting our regular fleet sailing from Friday afternoons to Wednesday evenings for July and August. This will help us navigate the extreme heat and the peak of our “rainy season” convective activity. Moving to the evening allows us to enjoy the bay when the temperatures are lower and the risk of sudden, intense storm cells is reduced.
We will plan to resume our regular Friday afternoon format once we move out of the mid-summer heat and weather cycle.
Wednesdays also offers the opportunity to join with other sailors from the club and SYS for mixed fleet sailing throughout the summer, including the American 18s, Melges 15s, 420s, Sunfish, and Hobies.
Be ready and at the starting line at 530pm on Wednesday!
